"This is a sculptural and photographic project that documents the act of Stone Balancing as a temporary elegy for this inevitable fate. The rocks, with their weight and solidity, are the record of our history, but I interact with them for the final time before they disappear.
The process of constructing these statues transcends mere skill; it is a spiritual and physical practice that demands absolute patience and stillness. The recurring frustration and the falling of the stones remind me of the fragility of the balance I seek, and the speed at which the moment can collapse against the forces of nature or change. In that rare moment of absolute stillness, my body and the stone are united in a challenge against gravity and time.
Each sculpture is a fleeting monument; a photographic testimony to the beautiful and futile resistance of life before it is swallowed by the water.
This work is not about survival, but about celebrating the final moment of balance for the soul of a city, affirming the intimate and ultimate relationship between a person and the place they love."
